Interview with Darren Aspinall, architect. Age 26. Comes
from Wigan, Greater Manchester.
What does your job involve?
Why does it take such a long
time to train as an architect?
Did you always want to be
an architect?
Yes, I knew from when I was about twelve or thirteen; I was
always drawing. I did A-levels in design technology, geography
and business studies, although these were not directly related
to architecture. This is one of the best things about studying
architecture at university - it's wide intake of people with
different skills and abilities.
Where do you see yourself
five years from now?
What about the financial
rewards?
Which aspects of your work
do you like the most?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
