Interview with Darren Aspinall, architect. Age 26. Comes
from Wigan, Greater Manchester.
What does your job involve?
Why does it take such a long
time to train as an architect?
Did you always want to be
an architect?
Where do you see yourself
five years from now?
There's quite a clear route in practice. From a student you
become an architect, then a project architect, then an associate
and then, perhaps, a partner in a practice. Five years from
now I'd like to think I would have reached associate level
and that I'd have designed some interesting buildings.
What about the financial
rewards?
Which aspects of your work
do you like the most?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
