Interview with Darren Aspinall, architect. Age 26. Comes
from Wigan, Greater Manchester.
What does your job involve?
Why does it take such a long
time to train as an architect?
Did you always want to be
an architect?
Where do you see yourself
five years from now?
What about the financial
rewards?
Which aspects of your work
do you like the most?
What about the not so good
bits?
The long section in the middle, between the initial design
and the construction when technical details are produced,
can become tedious, particularly on a very large scheme. However,
it is an essential part of the building process - a building
couldn't be built without masses of technical information.
Any advice?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
