Interview with Darren Aspinall, architect. Age 26. Comes
from Wigan, Greater Manchester.
What does your job involve?
Why does it take such a long
time to train as an architect?
Did you always want to be
an architect?
Where do you see yourself
five years from now?
What about the financial
rewards?
Which aspects of your work
do you like the most?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice?
You need dedication and commitment and you must be prepared
for the course and the training - it's hard work. Read all
you can about architecture - the more knowledge you start
with, the better prepared you will be. Also, architecture
is a very creative profession so you need inspiration as well
as an ability to apply knowledge.
And do you look forward to
work every day?
