Interview with Mah Rana, jeweller Age 35. Comes from London.
Did you always want to
be a jeweller?
What exactly did you study?
What did you do after the
Royal College of Art?
How did you become established?
So your business became
successful?
Well, the commercial side of my business became too successful
actually. I really need to keep a balance between the mass
production work and the one-off art works so I scaled the
more commercial side down a little. I'm now also employed
purely as a designer and I enjoy the teaching too.
There are different strands
to your career. Is this deliberate?
What aspect of your work
gives you the most pleasure?
What do you like least?
Last question. Do you look
forward to work everyday?
