Interview with Jonathan Glazer, film director Age 37,
Comes from London
Did you always want to work
in film?
Yet you went on to study a
degree in Theatre Design. Why not a film course?
Was this the right choice?
What did you do after
university?
Were you worried you weren't
going to make it?
How were you lucky?
Did the work flood in then?
Yes, but I was encouraged to be very selective, to hold out
for the commercials I really wanted to make and not to do
the run-of-the-mill stuff. Again, it was absolutely the right
decision even though it was hard to turn down the work and
the money to start with.
Any advice for aspiring film
makers?
And when you wake up in the
mornings, do you look forward to work?
