Interview with Jonathan Glazer, film director Age 37,
Comes from London
Did you always want to work
in film?
Yet you went on to study a
degree in Theatre Design. Why not a film course?
Was this the right choice?
What did you do after
university?
Were you worried you weren't
going to make it?
How were you lucky?
Did the work flood in then?
Any advice for aspiring film
makers?
Yes, be prepared to risk everything - if you are an artist
then that's what it's about. There are lots of people in the
industry for the money and the parties and so on, but the
real rewards in art come from your work and being true to
that.
And when you wake up in the
mornings, do you look forward to work?
