Interview with Melanie Grant, broadcast journalist Age
27, Comes from London.
What does your work involve?
What would a typical day
be like for you?
How did you manage to work
as a journalist at the BBC?
I recently completed a post graduate diploma in Broadcast
Journalism which I studied at City University. I was working
for the BBC before that as a Broadcast Assistant and realised,
if I was ever going to further my career in the BBC, I would
need the right qualifications. I did freelance journalism
work to fund myself through the one-year course.
Did you always want to do
something like this?
How did you get your 'foot
in the door'?
What did you do then?
And what do you like most
about your job?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice for other aspiring
broadcasters?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
