Age 41. Comes from Dumfries.
Janice is a Director of Graven Images in Glasgow. Graven Images
is a successful design consultancy offering architecture, interior design
and graphic design skills and services. Janice, who studied graphic
design at Glasgow School of Art, and co-director Ross Hunter, founded
the company after leaving art school.
Did you set out to work in design?
Was it hard setting up your own business?
What do you do each day?
I've constantly had a pen in my hand for as long as
I can remember. After A-levels I went to the University of
Teeside to study industrial design. After that I did a further
two years at the Royal College of Art where I studied for
a masters in transportation design so - yes, it's always been
in me to do this.
You sound like you really
enjoy it.
Does the job pay well too?
What would your advice be to someone just starting out?
And when you wake up in the mornings, do you look forward to work?
