Interview with Mark Hill, Music producer and songwriter

Were you always interested in music?
So what happened on the academic front?
I took A levels in maths, music and English and did a music degree at Southampton University. I chose Southampton because it had recording studio facilities and I was already into electronic music. I‘m not sure how much I learnt but it was good to have the facilities on hand and to make the most of student life. I played in several bands and met my business partner there too.
You set up in a recording studio business straight after university. A good idea?
And about this time Craig David came on the scene?
The rest though, as they say, is history. What‘s your life like now? Is there a typical working day?
Did you plan your career?
And what do you like best about what you do?
And like least?
For lots of young people interested in music yours sounds like the dream career. Any advice?
Do you look forward to work everyday?
