Interview with Mark Hill, Music producer and songwriter
Were you always interested
in music?
So what happened on the
academic front?
You set up in a recording
studio business straight after university. A good idea?
Not really. It was incredibly difficult. No grants, no support.
We struggled along for a while recording local bands and DJ‘ing
and were pretty unsuccessful until we managed to find some
investment. This bought us a little time to concentrate on
developing our skills in songwriting and the sounds we wanted
to make.
And about this time Craig
David came on the scene?
The rest though, as they
say, is history. What‘s your life like now? Is there a typical
working day?
Did you plan your career?
And what do you like best
about what you do?
And like least?
For lots of young people
interested in music yours sounds like the dream career. Any
advice?
Do you look forward to
work everyday?
