Interview with Phil Samphire, disability arts information
and advocacy worker. Age 34. Comes from Manchester.
What does your job involve?
It sounds really interesting.
Have you always worked in the arts?
What did you study?
So what did you do after
your degree?
I worked at the Green Room Theatre in Manchester and, through
an Arts Council apprenticeship scheme for disabled people,
stayed there for nearly three years. Then I moved to Full
Circle Arts in 1998 to finish off the apprenticeship. I really
feel as though I've found my niche here, I love what I do.
Which aspects of your
job do you like the most?
What about the least enjoyable
aspects?
Any advice?
And do you look forward
to work every day?
