Interview with Hannah Barnes-Murphy, book editor. Age
24. Comes from Salisbury, Wiltshire.
What does a book editor do?
Is this what you always wanted
to do?
So did you study something
related to that career choice?
How did you get your present
job?
What do you like most about
it?
Dealing with the authors - I love reading their text and thinking
about possible improvements. I like discussing the book with
them, then seeing the final finished product. It's very satisfying.
My work is very varied too, depending on what stage the project
is at and I like that. There is also a lot of teamwork and
you really do feel you're all working together to create something
special.
It sounds a great job. Is
there anything that's not so good about it?
Any advice?
Do you look forward to work
every day?
