Florence Torrens, Executive Fashion Editor Age: '30ish',
Comes from: Belfast
What does the job involve?
Have you always been interested
in fashion?
Why did you take a degree
in law?
So how did you get into fashion?
I did lots of holiday and Saturday jobs in Belfast in clothes
shops which gave me some contacts in London. After my degree
I moved to London and rang up everyone I knew. I managed to
get some unpaid work in the press office of a high street
fashion retailer. In the end they employed me and I worked
in all the different departments learning about styling, training,
shoes and press work.
So now do you get to go to
all the fashion shows and to travel the world?
What about other rewards
- lots of free clothes?
What's your advice
And any tips for actually
getting a job?
Last question, when you wake
up in the mornings do you look forward to work?
