Florence Torrens, Executive Fashion Editor Age: '30ish', Comes from: Belfast

What does the job involve?
Have you always been interested in fashion?
Why did you take a degree in law?
So how did you get into fashion?
So now do you get to go to all the fashion shows and to travel the world?
What about other rewards - lots of free clothes?
What's your advice?
Just to realise how many different jobs there are and not be too narrow in your ambitions. On Elle you could be fashion director - in overall charge, then there's me in the number 2 role. There are two fashion editors, a bookings editor who manages all the fashion shoots, finds and books the models and deals with the photographers and a merchandising editor who handles all aspects of the clothes.
And any tips for actually getting a job?
Last question, when you wake up in the mornings do you look forward to work?
