Interview with Freia Turland, photographer. Age 25. Comes
from Cheltenham.
What does your job involve?
What's a normal day like?
Did you always want to be
a press photographer?
How did you get into the press?
Which aspects do you like
the most?
I love the whole immediacy of press work. I can take a picture
at 8 o'clock in the evening and I can see it on the front
page at 6am the following morning. I'd hate to be a studio
photographer, I need to be out and about meeting different
people - I really like the fact that I never repeat a task;
jobs may be similar but they are never the same.
Anything you don't like?
What about the financial rewards?
Any advice for aspiring press
photographers?
Do you look forward to work
every day?
